Set Apart Learning Academy is dedicated to providing education tailored for both neurodivergent and neurotypical students through an in-home school setting. Our unique curriculum is designed to inspire creativity and curiosity, utilizing innovative teaching methods to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment. We prioritize character development alongside academics and offer a wide range of extracurricular programs in arts, hands-on activities, and emotional support. Our commitment is evident through engaging student projects, dynamic classroom activities, and community events that highlight our focus on nurturing growth and empowerment.

Our Story

Set Apart Academy was born from a deeply personal journey. Our foundation was built through the experience of my oldest daughter, who has autism and struggled in a traditional public-school setting. As she was required to transition into a general education classroom, her behavior began to increase—not out of defiance, but out of frustration. She was nonverbal at the time and unable to fully understand or express what she was experiencing, which led to her being removed from the classroom. It became clear that the environment was not designed to support how she learned and processed the world.

Everything changed when we transitioned her into a school that truly accommodated her needs. In the right environment, we witnessed remarkable growth, progress, and confidence. That transformation became the foundation for Set Apart Academy.

We created Set Apart as a place where neurodiverse children are not forced to adapt to a system that was not built for them. Instead, we’ve designed an environment that honors their unique needs—while also welcoming neurotypical children into a space where empathy, awareness, and adaptability are cultivated. Here, every child is valued, supported, and set apart for a greater purpose.
